Amadeus Nova

The Amadeus Nova is a river cruise ship that entered service in 2024. The ship list gives its ENI number as 02340299 and lists Danubia Cruises in Passau as its operator. Amadeus’s official ship page describes the Nova as 135 metres long and 11.4 metres wide. Its four decks contain 67 cabins and twelve suites; the operator gives its passenger capacity as 158. The crew is listed as approximately 46 people.

Propulsion and ship design

Amadeus describes the propulsion system as a diesel-electric hybrid. A battery is intended to cover power peaks while underway, eliminating the need to switch on additional generators for that purpose. The operator also mentions heat recovery and engines fitted with filters and catalytic converters. According to the operator, the Nova sails on the Rhine and the Danube.

Cabins and suites

Cabins vary by deck and window type. The Haydn Deck has 16-square-metre cabins with smaller viewing windows that cannot be opened. The 17.5-square-metre cabins on the Strauss and Mozart decks feature a drop-down panoramic window front. Suites on the Mozart Deck are larger, at 26.4 square metres, and have a walk-out exterior balcony and a seating area. Amadeus lists a minibar, individually controlled air conditioning, a television, a shower and toilet, a telephone, and a safe in all categories. Beds can be set up either as a double bed or as two separate single beds. According to the operator, connecting doors are available on request on the Strauss Deck.

Onboard public areas

Public indoor spaces include a panoramic restaurant and lounge, a bar, the AMADEUS Club, and Café Vienna. Outside, the River Terrace and a sun deck provide additional places to relax. The sun deck also features sun loungers, sun sails, a putting green, chess, and shuffleboard. The factsheet lists a fitness room and a massage room for exercise and relaxation. An elevator connects the Mozart and Strauss decks; laundry service, a ship shop, Wi-Fi, and complimentary bicycles are also listed.
