Color Magic and Color Fantasy connect Kiel and Oslo on a ferry route across the Baltic Sea.
According to Color Line, the ships depart from both ports daily at 2 p.m. and reach their respective destinations at 10 a.m. the following morning. The one-way crossing takes around 20 hours, so passengers spend one night on board. The mini-cruise includes a four-hour stop in Oslo and the return trip to Kiel. This round trip involves two nights at sea.
Color Line accepts euros and Norwegian kroner for purchases and payments on board.
Built in 2007 in Turku by Aker Yards, Color Magic is 224 meters long and 35 meters wide. Color Line lists her gross tonnage as 75,100 GT, with 15 decks and a service speed of 22 knots. She flies the Norwegian flag and is registered in Oslo. The operator lists a passenger capacity of 2,600, and separately gives a maximum capacity of 2,812 people. These figures refer to different capacity measures and should not be taken as the usual number of passengers on board.
The operator’s ship specifications also list 1,016 cabins, 2,975 berths, parking for 550 cars, and 1,270 lane meters for trailers. Color Magic is therefore designed to carry both passengers and vehicles on the route.
Dining options include Oceanic à la Carte, Grand Buffet, Mama Bella Pizza Ristorante, and Sports & Burger Bar. Color Line also lists several bars and cafés on board.
The Aqualand features whirlpools, a baby pool, water slides, a lazy river, and a sauna. The cruise line has announced that the facility will close for maintenance from January 25 to February 11, 2027.
