The longest option was scheduled to last 129 days, from Fort Lauderdale to Los Angeles, and was due to depart on January 6, 2027. A 114-day round trip from and back to Los Angeles, and a 110-day voyage from Los Angeles to Vancouver, were due to depart on January 21. The three options refer to the same announced itinerary, but do not have identical ports of departure and arrival. When comparing offers, it is therefore important to consider travel to and from the relevant ports as well as the cruise duration.
Consider sea days and time in port
The 2027 voyage was described as visiting 61 destinations in 20 countries across three continents. The regions named included Panama and Hawaii, the South Pacific, Australia and New Zealand, Southeast Asia, Japan and Alaska. Princess highlighted nine late departures from port and an overnight stay in Hong Kong. These specific details convey the rhythm of a long voyage better than the term “world cruise” alone; they apply to the announced itinerary, not to world cruises in other years.
Full voyage or shorter segment
Princess also announced shorter segments ranging from four to 68 days, including departures from Auckland, Hong Kong, Honolulu, Singapore, Sydney, Tokyo and Vancouver. On a shorter segment, the duration and the ports of embarkation and disembarkation differ from those of the longer option. The press release lists the available departure ports, but does not provide a complete itinerary for every combination.
Compare the ship and onboard life with the duration
For Coral Princess, Princess listed restaurants, shows, live music, movies under the stars, and a program featuring destination experts, guest speakers and local performers. This is a description of the ship as part of the announcement, not a general feature of every world cruise.
For shorter cruises in individual regions, the Asia cruise, the Australia cruise and the South America cruise can help with comparisons. A world cruise may connect several regions, but it does not automatically include every coastline or port.
