Princess Cruises is looking for 1000 photos

Princess Cruises Company intends to place an exhibition of the cruise passengers’ photographs on one of its newest ships - Royal Princess. Currently Princess Cruises offered a competition to its passengers, which was named "1,000 Memories at Sea". The company asked its customers to send their best photos taken during the cruises from Princess Cruises.

It is planned that collected photos will be exhibited as a permanent exhibition on the Royal Princess ship, which should be launched for the first cruise in 2013.

Exhibition will be posted on the walls of the corridors that will connect residential areas with cabins, entertainment centers and restaurants.

Today Princess Cruises offers cruises for almost all popular destinations. Organizers of this campaign on preparing of the future photo exhibition hope that it can reflect the whole geography of the famous cruise operator. The largest number of photos is expected from cruises to the Caribbean, Alaska and the Mediterranean.

When selecting photographs the jury will pay attention not only to the cruise region, but also to the image quality. Among the criteria for including into the list of "1000 best pictures" are originality, style and ability to reproduce the so-called "adventure spirit". Selection committee will include the vice-president Ray Caluori, Interior director of Princess Cruises Teresa Anderson, as well as Ian Johnson, who is responsible for the photo and video production in Princess Cruises.

Princess Cruises is known for its innovative technologies in cruise promotion on the world markets. Among the company’s promotions, which allowed Princess Cruises to be one of the leaders of the cruise ship industry for many years is participation of the two company’s ships in the American TV series The Love Boat, which enjoyed great success in 1970-80s. It is obvious that Princess Cruises advertise managers have a lot of new ideas for the market. The idea to decorate new liner with the passengers’ photos was launched by many cruise companies.
