St. Petersburg, Russia - cruises online

Since 2009 cruises in St. Petersburg are experiencing its rebirth. Today the city can boast of one of the most modern cruise ports in Russia and the whole world. It had been constructed since in 2005 and in 2008 the sea cruise port of the Northern capital received the first liner. The total cost of works was about $2 billion. Before the reconstruction big ships arrived in St. Petersburg were forced to moor in the cargo port.

St. Petersburg cruise port, which is also known as "Marine Facade", is located on the western part of the Vasilevsky Island. Cruise ships arriving in St. Petersburg, can moor at one of seven berths of the new port. The port has four terminals, three of which receive cruises liners (Terminals 1,2,4), and one - ferries (Terminal 3).

Cruise Port in St. Petersburg is one of the largest in the Baltic Sea region. Every year the number of cruise ships visiting the port is growing. In 2011 it port received more than 450 thousand passengers.

Among the cruise lines, which cruise routes pass through the city on the Neva River are the world famous Royal Caribbean, Norwegian Cruise Line, Holland Cruise Line, MSC, Aida and others. The most famous of them is St.Peter Line, which ferries Princess Maria and Princess Anastasia operate regular trips from St. Petersburg to Helsinki and Stockholm.

In addition to the "Marine Facade" cruise port ships can also moor at a few berths in the historic city center. Three of them are located on the English promenade and two - on the Embankment of Lieutenant Schmidt.
