Egypt travel advice 2013: Nile cruises and expanded warning

In mid-July 2013, according to the German Federal Foreign Office, only the tourist areas along the Red Sea were exempt from its explicit travel warning for Egypt. The advice also covered the Nile Delta, the Sinai, the Egyptian-Libyan border area, and Upper Egypt, including Luxor, Aswan and Nile cruises.
On 4 August, the warnings still applied to Nile cruises and the tourist centres in Upper Egypt. On 16 August, the German Federal Foreign Office extended its advice to the entire country.
