Construction and facilities

The MS Dalmatino was built in 1957 and renovated in 1990. I.D. Riva Tours gives the ship’s length as 26 metres. It has 13 twin cabins with a shower, toilet and individually controlled air conditioning. Eight cabins are on the main deck and five on the upper deck; the beds are arranged as bunks. There are 26 beds in total. The air-conditioned salon can accommodate 26 guests. The 90-square-metre sun deck has ten sun loungers, as well as tables and benches for around 20 people. The tour operator notes that the cruise is not suitable for people with disabilities or reduced mobility; the minimum number of participants is 15.

Cruising area and weekly itinerary

In the 2027 schedule, the Dalmatino is assigned to the one-week Z2 route from Zadar. The cruise calls at Vodice, the Krka River and Skradin, Šibenik, Primošten, Split and Trogir, as well as the islands of Drvenik Veli and Zlarin. On the return journey, the itinerary includes Kornati National Park, Telašćica Nature Park and Ugljan before the ship arrives back in Zadar. The stages combine days in port with swimming breaks and excursions ashore. From Skradin, guests can continue to Krka National Park; in Split, the Old Town and Diocletian’s Palace are close to the port. Trogir is known for its historic Old Town. The itinerary and individual port calls may change depending on the weather and local conditions. Because of construction work on berths in Split, the tour operator may name Omiš, Milna or Rogač as alternative ports.

Embarkation and travel arrangements

Embarkation at the port of Zadar is scheduled between 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Guests travelling by car may drive into the port no later than 12:00 noon, unload their luggage at the ship and leave it on deck for the time being; the service team will help carry it. They then use the parking garage reserved through I.D. Riva Tours. The walk back to the port is approximately 700 metres. For guests who have booked flights and transfers through I.D. Riva Tours, embarkation in Zadar is guaranteed if their plane arrives at the airport by 12:00 noon. If they arrive later, they will board at the route’s first overnight port.
