Excursions around Halifax
The heart of Halifax - a historical guided tour
Tour of Halifax past buildings from the 18th and 19th centuries standing cheek-by-jowl with ultra-modern structures, with the harbour as backdrop. The trip then takes in numerous museums and churches. A rest break in a park. Visits to some educational institutions.
Peggy´s Cove and eating lobster in Halifax
This excursion combines a breathtaking ocean setting with delicious food. The tour starts with a tour of Halifax, followed by a trip along the coast to Peggy's Cove. The entrancing rural fishing village lies on a narrow inlet. It has been the inspiration of many artists such as, for example, William de Garthe. At the end of the tour lobster (if preferred, chicken) will be served. Lunch will be taken in a popular local restaurant which offers stunning views over the coast.
The coast of Nova Scotia - a kayak tour
Kayak tour of the coast of Nova Scotia. The excursion begins with a 30 minute trip to the small fishing village of Lower Prospect, which offers one of the best kayaking opportunities in the world. After arrival at the boathouse, the participants are divided into groups of five. The groups are supplied with the necessary equipment and instructions by a guide experienced in kayaking. It is at this point that the half-day kayak trip starts, in the course of which the participants will see whales, seals, dolphins and eagles. After the excursion the participants can have a small meal before rejoining the other groups at the boathouse. No prior experience of kayaking is necessary for the tour as every excursion includes comprehensive instructions.
