Dunedin old town and the Olveston House
The city tour takes the participants past Otago University, the picturesque harbour and Dunedin station. The tour includes visits to the Olveston House and the botanical gardens.
Dunedin Pub Hop (pub tour)
The excursion includes a visit to three or four quaint pubs with the option of trying some of the local beers. Highlight is the visit to the Speights Brewery, founded in 1876. Lunch will be taken in one of the pubs. There will then be free time to stroll through the city or to take in the pub souvenir shops. A short drive round Dunedin will round off the excursion.
Dunedin's natural wonders
The excursion begins with a coach trip to Taiaroa Head, the tip of the Otago peninsula, which the particpants will be able to explore in an eight-wheeled Argos vehicle. Highlight of the tour is a visit to the penguin beach, the only place the yellow-eyed Hioho penguins call home. The beach is also home to other species of sea animal, such as sea lions. The participants will then visit Fort Taiaroa and the Westpac Trust aquarium. There will be a picnic lunch.
