Ostpreußenkai on the Trave
Ostpreußenkai is in the heart of Travemünde. From the glass terminal building, you can look out over the Trave and the four-masted barque Passat on the opposite bank. The berth is designed for ships up to 200 metres long; whether your ship docks here depends on the specific travel documents. Ostpreußenkai is therefore a good starting point for exploring Travemünde itself.
Travemünde or Lübeck
If you want to stay in Travemünde, you can first get your bearings at Ostpreußenkai by the Trave. The Passat is a striking landmark on the water. For a longer excursion, Lübeck offers its own old-town island: Brick Gothic architecture, churches and medieval lanes define this UNESCO World Heritage Site. Depending on your time in port, choose the coastal town or the Hanseatic city, and check the connection for the day in question before combining both destinations.
