Travemünde Week: Regatta, Trave and Festival

Travemünde Week combines sailing regattas with a shore-based festival on the Baltic Sea coast of Travemünde. The regatta and festival have their own program areas: sailing is geared towards competitors and spectators, while music, dance, art and food come together ashore. The current official festival guide announces several stages featuring live bands, DJs and show acts for 2027.

Regatta and race area

The Trave Races—races on the Trave—are a distinct part of the sailing program. Regatta competitors prepare using notices of race and sailing instructions, which set out the sporting procedures for each competition. Coaches and support boats also have their own organizational section; accommodation and berths round out the preparations ashore.

Visitors following the event from a sporting perspective can find information on races and competitor organization in the regatta section. Visiting the festival ashore offers a different way to experience it. Travemünde is one of the Baltic Sea’s cruise destinations. On themed cruises, a shared interest connects the itinerary with a special program.

Festival and promenade

For 2027, the organizers are announcing live music on several stages. The program ranges from bands and DJs to show acts, and also includes a dance terrace and roaming performers around the grounds. The Hafenpanorama Gallery in the cruise terminal at Ostpreußenkai showcases regional maritime art on themes such as the sea, ships, beaches, wind and sailing. A free workshop program is also planned. In this way, the festival combines cultural offerings with its maritime setting.

Food and drink are also part of the program: the festival guide features a wine courtyard with selected international wines and views of the Baltic Sea. The program ashore is therefore more than just a backdrop for the regattas; it offers its own reasons to visit. The event mile features regional and international cuisine, food trucks, as well as fries and bratwurst. Onboard entertainment, shows and live music can also make it possible to combine a cruise with concert visits.

Stages on the beach and in Brügmanngarten

For 2027, evening programs featuring cover bands are planned on the König Pilsener Stage by the beach terraces. The festival stage at Brügmanngarten combines a range of concert formats with activities such as a children’s disco. The different venues make it possible to tailor a visit to your musical interests and spend time on the coast in between.
